Released to the market this morning for the first time, 2016 Château Latour has received perfect 100-point scores from five major critics, with Neal Martin and James Suckling both comparing it to legendary vintages like the 1982.  Offered on allocation at £1,550 per three bottles in bond, the 2016 is released at a healthy 22.7% discount to market price for the 2010, the only recent vintage to have received a perfect score from Martin.  This wine is destined to become a legend in its own right, and one that will hold a revered place in the cellars of serious collectors many decades from now, so we recommend seeking an allocation. 

2019 Les Forts de Latour is also released this morning, with 97 points from Suckling and at £790 per six bottles. 2019 is one of the most seductively fruity vintages of recent times, described by Jane Anson as "lip-smackingly moreish", with its "Brambled blackberry fruits".  Fruit notwithstanding, Anson and The Wine Advocate's William Kelley both comment on the structure of the tannins, making this a serious wine that will cellar well into the 2050s.
