We have managed to secure some additional stock of Château Thivin's superb 2022 Côte de Brouilly 'Les Sept Vignes', which we can offer to you at £210 per dozen in bond, for delivery in September.   Since we first offered it en primeur, the '22 has received excellent reviews, both from Burgundy expert Jasper Morris and The Wine Advocate. 

Few wines can span the summer and autumn so effectively.  It would work equally well served lightly chilled with meaty fish dishes, or (bearing in mind yesterday was the 12th of August) served at room temperature with feathered game like Grouse.

Thivin's vines are on the best slopes of the extinct volcano of the Mont de Brouilly.  This is an ancient estate, with the oldest part of the cellars dating to 1383.  Owned since the late 1800s by the Geoffray family, the domaine has 8.3 hectares of vines in seven parcels (the 'Sept Vignes') on a variety of volcanic soils. 

This diversity of soils and terroirs gives the wines their potential for complexity and longevity.  Les Sept Vignes is delicious when young, but Neal Martin has published tasting notes for vintages that show well with twenty to thirty years of bottle age.  There are high expectations for the 2022 vintage; the growing season in Beaujolais was excellent, a 'solar' year with 48% more sunshine hours in July alone, compared to a normal year.
