We recommend professional storage for all wines bought for investment. See our advice on cellaring wines for more information. We offer long-term storage, in bond or duty-paid. Uniquely numbered and named reserve accounts are available at an annual rental of £13.40 per case (or £6.70 per half case or less) + VAT payable in advance. Insurance is charged in addition (unless you choose to arrange this yourself) at cost and calculated at 0.15% of the current market value* (i.e £1.50 per annum on stock valued at £1000, £15 on stock valued at £10,000 and £150 on stock valued at £100,000 etc.)
Rental & Insurance invoices are raised annually and are non-refundable.
All transfers of wine from Richard Kihl Ltd to reserve accounts will attract a one-off transfer charge of £2.75 per case (or £1.38 per half case) + VAT, payable in advance.
Transfer of stock bought from a third party to private reserves is charged at £5.00 per case (£2.50 half a case or less) ex-VAT.

The majority of our stocks are held at London City Bond (Tilbury) and are immediately available. A minority are offered on behalf of private vendors/collectors. Wines offered in less than full case quantities are usually held duty paid, temperature-controlled, at our premises in Aldeburgh, Suffolk. Condition photographs available on request.
