Tasting Notes"Touches of wood and menthol can be found on the ripe aromas of black cherry, raspberry and the sauvage. The supple, seductive and very suave larger-scaled flavors possess really lovely intensity that carries over to the dusty, palate coating, powerful and mildly warm finale. This too is definitely built-to-age. 91-94 points" points" Allen Meadows' Burghound------"Rich, exuberant purple. A cheerful nose, flamboyantly perfumed which is as Charmes should be. I very much like the balance of this, which is all in red fruit, succulent strawberry and raspberry, good acidity, no feeling of excess heat. 14.1% but holds it without difficulty. Tasted: December 2021. 93-95 points" Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com------"The 2020 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru was very closed on the nose despite encouragement. This feels very introverted. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fine acidity, more expressive here in the mouth than on the nose with black pepper, bay leaf and clove towards the finish. Give this a few years in bottle and wait for the aromatics to blossom. 93-95 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com |

Tasting Notes"Cask sample. Deep cherry; rich, dense nose of cherries, mulberries and blueberries; round and full. Elegant and suave. Fine tannins. 17 points" jancisrobinson.com (MH)------"Once again there is very good ripeness to the notes of poached plum, dark berry liqueur and more prominent earth and game wisps. There is very good volume to the dense, delicious and palate soaking big-bodied flavors that deliver very fine length on the robust, powerful, rustic and built-to-age finale. Patience. Outstanding. 91-93 points" Allen Meadows' Burghound------"Black centre, peaches and dark plums on the nose, wealthy and ripe, luxurious in style, a little too much for me but it is not unbalanced for those who like the riper style. Is showing a little on the massive side today. Under 14% though. Romain had some holes dug and found a surprising depth of clay on top of the mother rock, thus holding the water supply well. Tasted: December 2021. 91-94 points" Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com------"The 2020 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Pruliers 1er Cru was only slightly touched by the hail in early August. Lucky escape. The bouquet has a well-defined bouquet with dark berry fruit, white pepper and just a hint of menthol in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, quite minty towards the open and quite feisty finish. Good persistence here. Very fine. 92-94 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com |

Tasting NotesLots of complex, delicate and refined aromas of herbs, flowers and earth on the nose, contrasting with the palate which fans out and shows real depth. Mme Tortochot says this is a very elegant Charmes and it's hard not to agree. Excellent length on the finish. RKL |

Tasting Notes"15% whole bunch vinification. The colour is noticeably more robust than the preceding wines, as too is the bouquet, backed a little by new oak (30%) but showing a good intensity of robust raspberry fruit on the nose, which carries through across the palate. This has a good balance between fruit and structure. Drink from 2025-2030. 90-92 points." Jasper Morris MW |

Tasting Notes"20% whole bunch vinification, 30% new wood. Volumes suffered from the hail. A fine mid purple colour. A little reduction on the nose. Now the pure red fruit starts to come out. A little more delicate than the 10 Climats, though perhaps a little more finesse instead. A good fruit-acid-tannin balance to finish. Drink from 2024-2029. Tasted: December 2022. 89-91 pts." Tasting Notes"More crimson than purple, with a pleasing red fruit, a little blood orange too. Charles confirms a red soil, indicating iron oxide. Sweet but not clumsy fruit floods the palate, this is an elegant Aloxe (coming in fact from Ladoix) with few tannins. There was a good yield here and this wine was heated at the end of fermentation. Drink from 2025-2029. Tasted: November 2022. 88-90 points" Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com------"The 2021 Aloxe-Corton La Coutiere 1er Cru is tertiary on the nose, opening gradually to reveal flinty scents that underly the brambly red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins. Taut and quite linear, there is a crisp line of acidity and an attractive spiciness that develops on the finish. One of the better Aloxe-Cortons in this difficult growing season. 89-91 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com------"This is quite airy, indeed even perfumed, with its elegant and exceptionally pretty nose of essence of wild cherry, soft earth and a background hint of star anise. The polished, delicious and solidly concentrated middleweight flavors coat the palate with sappy dry extract that helps to buffer the lightly stony, austere and linear finish that displays excellent length. Lovely. 90-92 points" Allen Meadows' Burghound |

Tasting Notes"The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes ler Cru has an expressive bouquet with black cherries, raspberry confit and light sous-bois aromas, becoming more opulent with aeration. The palate is sweet on the entry, rounded in texture with wild strawberry and raspberry, white pepper and thyme, harmonious on the finish, though not as complex as the Les Cras. 90-92 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com |

Tasting Notes"The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Les Cras ler Cru has a lively black cherry, cassis and wild strawberry scented bouquet, more floral than the Les Charmes. The palate is generous on the entry with supple tannins, lightly spiced, slightly high-toned on the finish with a long black pepper and thyme tinged aftertaste. Excellent, but it will need some bottle age. 91-93 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com |

Tasting Notes"The 2021 Chambertin Clos-de-Beze Grand Cru has an attractive nose with red berry fruit, autumn leaves and subtle graphite scents, all gaining intensity in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins. It's surprisingly creamy in texture and candied towards the finish, though lacks the intrinsic complexity of a truly great vintage. It becomes a little hard with aeration, unlike the Chambertin. 91-93 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com------"A deft application of wood easily allows the much spicier aromas of red and dark berries, smoked game and forest floor to be appreciated. The rich yet sleek and utterly delicious bigger-bodied and more powerful flavors exude a more subtle minerality on the balanced and impressively persistent finale. This is classier as well as markedly more complex than the Chapelle. 92-95 points" Allen Meadows' Burghound------"Offering up aromas of rich cherries, berries and plums mingled with spices and orange zest, and framed by toasty new oak, the 2021 Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) is full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, with a seamless, enveloping profile and melting structuring tannins. 93-95 points" William Kelley, RobertParker.com------"Pretty pink purple with a lively but fine nose. The fruit starts discreetly but then here it comes, delivering a level of class not seen in any of the previous Jadot wines, good though they are. The Clos de Bèze is beautifully balanced, and light on its feet. Drink from 2028-2035. 94-97 points" Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com |

Tasting Notes"The 2021 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru has a rather stoic nose, with backward, light red berry fruit laced with decaying leaves that gradually unfurl in the glass. The palate is medium bodied with plant tannins, good density dark berry fruit laced with orange rind and a pinch of white pepper. It misses the length and grace on the finish that a more benevolent season would bring. Fine. 90-92 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com ------"The 2021 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) has turned out very well, exhibiting aromas of sweet cherries, berries, petals and spices, framed by toasty new oak. Medium to full-bodied, ample and layered, it's deep and muscular, with fine balance and a penetrating finish. This cuvée is now harvested in two picks, one week or so apart, instead of all in the same day. 92-93 points" William Kelley, RobertParker.com------"A pink purple colour of medium density. Correct density on the front of the palate then really quite a brutal tannin at the back. The bouquet is not showing much yet and the palate is a bit grumpy. The Clos Vougeot is going through a surly stage but should deliver in due course. Drink from 2028-2035. 91-94 points" Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com------"An unusually perfumed nose reflects notes of red currant, earth and a vague hint of exotic spice. In the same vein as the nose, there is an unusually suave texture to the round and delicious medium-bodied flavors that brim with sappy dry extract that helps to buffer the compact, firm and sneaky long finish. This possesses fine development potential. 92-94 points" Allen Meadows' Burghound |
