Tasting Notes"The 2018 Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze Grand Cru has a highly perfumed, incense and lavender-infused bouquet that retains admirable delineation, one that you would think comes from a cooler growing season. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fleshy and ripe, revealing dark chocolate and cedar notes toward the finish and mint on the aftertaste. Perhaps the finish does not quite match the alluring bouquet, but it should mature nicely over the next couple of decades. 92-94 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com------" A very spicy and ripe though cool nose reluctantly offers up notes of red cherry, violet, sandalwood, herbal tea and a whisper of smoked meat. The relatively refined and nicely vibrant medium weight plus flavors are solidly concentrated in the context of what is typical for the 2018 vintage while displaying fine energy on the balanced and beautifully persistent if somewhat grippy finale where the only nit of consequence is a touch of warmth. This mouth coating and markedly structured effort should age and improve for several decades. 94 points" Allen Meadows' Burghound------"Revisited from bottle, Jadot's 2018 Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) is showing beautifully, wafting from the glass with a deep and complex bouquet of cherries, cassis and wild berries mingled with nuances of cinnamon, raw coca, dark chocolate and orange rind. Full-bodied, sumptuous and enveloping, it's deep and layered, with a seductively velvety attack, terrific concentration and a long, expansive finish. Beautifully balanced, it's bright and lively despite its broad shoulders. This has turned out especially well. 96 points" William Kelley, RobertParker.com------"Glorious imperial purple colour, with a majestic nose alongside but not over opulent. The fruit smells as if it has been picked at perfect ripeness. There is considerable weighty on the second half of the palate, a bit of orange zest in the red fruit mix, tannins just present – certainly present, but more or less covered by the fruit. Very persistent. Fine wine. 14% or even a touch more but balanced. Tasted Nov 2019. 95-98 points" Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com |

Tasting Notes"The 2018 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru has a very attractive, pure, well-defined bouquet of red cherries, wild strawberry, sous-bois and light orange pith aromas that gain intensity with aeration. The medium-bodied palate displays supple tannins and a fine bead of acidity. A little peppery in style, with a touch of brown spice toward the finish. This is a well-crafted Chapelle-Chambertin. 92-94 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com------"Bright crimson to purple. Plenty of fruit, generous enough yet with a savoury touch. Fills out the palate very nicely indeed, not claiming to have more than the terroir can give, but exceptionally persistent. The oak starts to show a little more, but no complaints about that. Wood tannins show at the end. But the wine is going to be the winner. Drink from 2032. Tasted Sep 2022. 94 points" Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com------"Ripe yet nicely fresh if somewhat somber aromas of both red and dark berries display top notes of spice and violet along with good amounts of earth. The rich, moderately concentrated and suave flavors possess solid power while exhibiting excellent length on the firm structured, serious and dusty finish that flashes plenty of grip. This beautiful effort should age for a very long time. 94 points" Allen Meadows' Burghound------"The 2018 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) lives up to its fine showing in barrel, unwinding in the glass with notes of cherries, red berries and licorice mingled with hints of violets and warm spices. Full-bodied, layered and seamless, with a deep core of fruit, velvety tannins and succulent acids, it's elegant and complete, concluding with a long, mouthwatering finish. This has turned out beautifully. 94+ points" William Kelley, RobertParker.com |

Tasting Notes"A very timid nose requires aggressive swirl to slowly coax the spicy and ripe liqueur-like aromas of red currant and exotic tea to reveal themselves. There is fine volume to the supple, round and highly seductive flavors that culminate in a firm, dusty, compact and quite serious finale. This is a big and youthfully austere CSD that is perhaps somewhat less elegant than I typically find it chez Jadot though that is very much in keeping with the 2018 vintage. Patience advised. 93 points" Allen Meadows' Burghound------"From the original part of Clos St Denis. Lively purple of medium density. Ripe dark raspberry fruit but attractive and balanced. Quite firm behind and even a little bit of heat, not the same density as Chambertin Clos de Bèze, reasonably enough, but holds together nicely. Tasted Nov 2019. 92-95 points" Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com------"The 2018 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru has a cohesive, focused bouquet of intense red currant, wild strawberry and crushed stone aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity and slightly angular tannins that will be softened with time. I appreciate the energy and backbone of this Grand Cru. Excellent. 93-95 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com------"The 2018 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru (Domaine Gagey) is fulfilling all the promise it showed in barrel, unwinding in the glass with aromas of pomegranate, red berries, rose petals, sweet soil tones and warm spices. Full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, with a vibrant core of fruit framed by fine, youthfully chalky tannins, this will repay extended cellaring. 95 points" William Kelley, RobertParker.com |

Tasting Notes" An exuberantly spicy nose is composed almost exclusively of various ripe dark berries and exotic tea scents. The refined middle weight flavors flash good power and vibrancy on the dusty, complex and solidly persistent finish. This is really quite stylish and while it's definitely a creature of its vintage, the overall balance and density of material is most promising. 93 points" Allen Meadows' Burghound"------"The 2018 Echézeaux Grand Cru has a voluminous, intense bouquet of multilayered red berry fruit mixed with brown spices and sous-bois aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and slightly creamy in texture. It feels cohesive, and the sensual finish is very appealing. Plenty of drinking pleasure to be found here. 92-94 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com------"The 2018 Echézeaux Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) has turned out beautifully in bottle, wafting from the glass with aromas of wild berries, cassis, rich spices and potpourri—much as it did from barrel— and framed by a classy touch of new oak. Full-bodied, velvety and supple, it's sumptuous and enveloping, with beautifully refined tannins, succulent acids and a broad, expansive finish. Beautifully balanced, this will offer an unusually broad drinking window. 94 points" William Kelley, RobertParker.com------"From Les Rouges du Bas. Fine glowing red purple. There is an immediate and delicious elegant floral quality to the nose, in the context of ripe fruit, of course. Soft and a little oaky on the palate – nothing that will not integrate – but with a delicious quality of fruit that extends very well to the back of the palate. Tasted Nov 2019. 93-96 points" Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com |

Tasting Notes"The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Prieur 1er Cru comes across as one of the most austere at this point in time; it may be entering a sultry stage of its élevage. The palate is medium-bodied with quite chalky tannins. An angular Clos Prieur with a slight attenuation toward the pointed finish. I would like to see a little more flesh develop here. 2022 - 2036. 89-91 points." Neal Martin, Vinous.com Jan 2020 |

Tasting Notes"Cask sample. Such freshness here with lively cranberry and spice. A lithe palate that has a leather, earthy edge and is supported by a zesty driven acidity. Long and focused and very well put together. 17.5 points." Alistair Cooper MW, Jancisrobinson.com Jan 2020 "The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Petite Chapelle 1er Cru has an expressive, seductive bouquet of ample red cherries, crushed strawberry and rose petal notes; menthol aromas emerge with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, and quite saline and spicy, especially toward the finish, which exerts a gentle grip. Great potential here. 2023 - 2040. 91-93 points." Tasting NotesTortochot's 21.33 ares (approx 0.2 ha) holding here comprises just seven rows of vines, on the lower slopes of the Clos. Traditionally thought of as inferior to the higher parts, the warming climate means ripeness levels are increasing and the location is becoming a positive advantage. Pleasingly approachable for Clos Vougeot, ripe black fruits, spice and with earth, coffee and mineral notes adding complexity. Mid-weight for this grand cru but suspect it will flesh out with age, drinking from 2027. RKL |

Tasting NotesThe three-hectare premier cru 'Sur la Velle' is one of the best terroirs in Monthelie, extending onto the slopes of Volnay, 230-370 metres above sea level. Yields for the 2019 were just 17hl/ha. Matured in oak vats and barrels for 18 months. Intense violet, raspberry and some cherry on the nose, leading to a broad, full palate, with vibrant, energetic raspberry fruit and extremely supple tannins, which bring Volnay to mind. Wonderfully open and approachable now, no sign of this wine 'closing' down, but with lots of potential for development. RKL------"Mid crimson...deep raspberry perfume starts to emerge, but it needs coaxing, attractively full across the mid palate. There is plenty of substance to this wine but it is a little hard to discern today...89-90 points." Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy, Feb 2021 |

Tasting Notes"The 2019 Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze Grand Cru has a lovely bouquet that is wonderfully delineated and focused, presenting a quite intense mixture of red and black fruit tinged with sous-bois and light black truffle aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with bold tannins and a fine bead of acidity. Smooth in texture, it exhibits dark chocolate and brown spice notes, some new oak just masking the terroir expression and delineation on the finish at the moment. Give this at least 4–5 years in bottle and that will be addressed. Just one double barrel produced (460 liters). 2025 - 2048. 93-95 points." Neal Martin, Vinous.com------"Interestingly, this is aromatically quite similar to the Chapelle though as is usually the case, it's even spicier. The exceptionally rich big-bodied flavors possess outstanding mid-palate volume and concentration thanks to the abundant dry extract that coats the palate and does a fine job of buffering the very dense but fine-grained tannins on the powerful and strikingly long finish. This is a knockout but be prepared to be patient if you wish to experience this potential gem at its peak. 93-96 points" Allen Meadows' Burghound------"Intense deep red colour, the nose is less immediate, but the fruit shows a succulent mouthful of very ripe fruit, on the edge of excess. A little bit of alcohol showing. The upper sector of their holding is the same planting as the Chapelle-Chambertin, but without hitting the same astonishing heights this year. 93-97 points" Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com------"The 2019 Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) is extremely promising, unfurling in the glass with aromas of rich, plummy fruit mingled with orange rind, exotic spices, raw cocoa and espresso roast. Full-bodied, layered and velvety, it's muscular and concentrated, with lively acids and a long, penetrating finish. 95-97 points" William Kelley, RobertParker.com |

Tasting NotesThe 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1er Cru has an exquisite bouquet of crystalline red berry fruit laced with minerals, wonderfully delineated and focused. The palate is smooth and sensual on the entry, and very cohesive, with a perfect line of acidity. Tasting Notes"The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Village has a transparent bouquet with touches of Earl Grey tea interwoven into the lifted red berry scents. There is fine mineralité and that is transposed onto the palate that is very well balanced. Classic in style with a persistent, grainy textured finish and a peppery aftertaste, dare I say, but say I do, this is one of the best damn Chambolle-Musigny Village wines that you will come across in 2019. 90-92 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com |

Tasting Notes"The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Village does not quite have the expressiveness of the Morey Village on the nose and demands more coaxing, a little broody and sultry at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit with touches of sous-bois and white pepper. Lovely balance here and the precision on the finish compensates for the bashful aromatics. It will need 24 months once in bottle and fingers crossed the nose will step up a gear. 88-90 points" Neal Martin, Vinous.com |
